Winters landschap op de pas tussen Blunduos en Varmahlid
10 Februar 2004 Ramon Sijmons and Boris Krielen start their unique expedition Iceland 2004: 800 kilometer by ATB across north iceland.
January 1997 Boris made it around the south, during the Dutch Iceland Expedition 1997.
This time the northern part of Iceland is the goal. More mountains, high mountainpasses, bad roads, 250 kilometers of rocky desert, blasting winds, icy rain, snow, thick layers of ice on the road. A great new challenge!

The route follows the nr. 1, Icelands mainroad that goes all around the island. Close to Reykjavik the road is pretty good, but further away it gets worse, ending in 250 km offroad. And with that comes the ice that covers the road almost everywhere, maiking it extremely hard to bike.
