The roads high up north are covered with ice and snow. Grip is everything. I’m happy to ride this expedition on professional bike tires by Schwalbe!
I’m using Schwalbe Racing Ralph bike tires for training at home in the Netherlands. For the expedition I’m using Schwalbe Marathon Winter tires. In northern Finland, where the conditions Can be very bad with deep snow, I can use the Schwalbe Ice Spiker Pro tires. The trailer will be on 16″ Mad Mike tires the entire trip.

The ‘turbo’ of spike tires. With 361 spikes it bites firmly into icy roads. The tungsten carbide core of each spike is clad in weight-saving aluminum. The scales stop at 695 g, yet the tire remains agile and sporty. Clinchers. Steel spikes.
