Peter-Arjen Boers,
Roccia Nera (4.075m), Alps

Peter-Arjen has gained a lot of technical climbing experience in the Alps. Besides a large amount of climbing courses with the Dutch Climbing and Mountaineering Association (NKBV) and Robert Steenmeijer, he made a lot of self organised climbs.

July 2000 he summitted the top of Elbrus as a member of the Dutch Elbrus Expedition 2000. One and a half months later he and Boris Krielen reached the top of Mont Blanc by the Trois Monts Route, via the Mont Maudit and Mont Blanc du Tacul, a long alpine climb. Besides his climbing experience Peter-Arjen has the ability to cool down emotions or to mediate when there are different opinions.

Do I have the feeling I expected after the climb, did something change? Of course, yesterday there was joy to have reached the summit, and happiness for the safe return. But today? The evidence of the climb is a bit of tiredness, a name of another mountain and the pressure for the next. Maybe then…”
